Your washing machine does NOT need Wi-Fi. It just needs water and power. Isolate your gadgets. Put them on a "Guest Network" on your router. If they get hacked, they can't see your PC or phone. Use microphone blocks. Install physical hardware switches or mic blockers. Buy "dumb" appliances. You don't need a WiFi toothbrush. Read the policy. If the privacy policy is 40 pages long, you are the product. Rule of Thumb: If it has a microphone and connects to the internet, it is a listening device.
